One day he’s banging on a desk, next day he’s banging in the studio with some of the finest artists in the world of Urban UK. Some may say he’s just another one hit music beater, but those of you who understand the true meaning of music would know that this rising talent is set to make a global musical DEX-OLUTION…!

Whilst some say the streets raised them, music raised this one. Growing up in North London, Dexplicit inherited his passion for music from his father who was in a Reggae band and it became a fascination to watch his dad make music. He would analyse and learn every movement in producing and recording a flawless track, “I’d go into the studio and watch what they were doing, dad had a little studio set up in a garage and when I was 13 he started to show me a few things.

By the time he was 15, messing about and playing with beats turned into actually making songs.” Everything he knows now was all self taught, and that teaching gave Dexplicit the drive to become one of the UK’s most recognised and substantial music producers throughout the urban music scene.

Pirate stations across London were the first means into getting his tracks promoted. Every track Dexplicit laced together he would send them through to every DJ until they rotated his tunes. Heat FM was one of the main stations that supported this fine aptitude, “There was this DJ called Slick D and he used to cut everything, anything I made he cut it every week. He would do his whole set on my riddims and although he had his own crew he didn’t care, he’d still base his whole set on my tunes.

He got a lot of hype on Heat FM back in the day” Radio wasn’t the only plan of action though; he wanted clubs to be banging his beats. DJ’s all over London had their collection full of Dexplicit anthems and little did they know that these rhythms have the potential of platinum hits!
