DJ P.O.L.Styleはスコットランド、グラスゴー生まれで１９９２からDJを始める。２００３年からはグラスゴーで仲間達と世界中でその名を轟かせた有名なパーティ、 ’Numbers’を主催。２００７年には’ナンバーズ’のパーティを東京 へと移動させる。P.O.L.Styleはボルティモア・ハウス、ベースライン、エレクトロなど様々なトラックをニューヨークのレーベル(T&A)、ベルリンのレーベル(Tiger Bass)、パリのレーベル(Clek Clek Boom)など多くのレーベルでリリースしている。自分が作った曲が色々なアーティストのミックスに搭載され国外ブログにも記載されている。
この数年はGrandmaster Flash, Dj Funk, Modeselektor, Belle & Sebastian, Dj Ayres, Dre Skullといったビッグ・ネームらとUSA, UK, Hong Kong, Japanなど世界各国で共演を果たしている。
Dj P.O.L.Style grew up in Glasgow, and at the age of 13 started skipping school to practice mixing rave and happy hardcore at home. At 16 yrs he got his first synthesizer and started making electro music under the name ‘Clone X’ and by 17 yrs he had already released a 12″ on a small indie label and performed 2 live sets at the legendary Sub Club in Glasgow, home to events such as Optimo.
In 2003 P.O.L.Style and the members of Dress 2 Sweat, Wireblock and Stuff Records, along with a couple of other friends, formed the world famous event ‘Numbers’ and invited guests such as DJ Funk, Diplo, A-Trak, Modeselektor, Ghostface Killah, Kid Sister, Squarepusher and Autechre. Numbers was also ranked among ‘Best Club Events of the Year 2008′ in MixMag!!!
P.O.L.Style currently plays around the Tokyo Dj circuit and releases music on a NY label run by Tittsworth & Ayres, ‘T&A Records’, and a french label called ‘Clek Clek Boom’. He also runs the ‘Numbers’ event in Tokyo and has played around the world with big names like Grandmaster Flash, Modeselektor, Dj Funk, Dj Ayres, Dre Skull to name a few.
Recent remix work includes a Baltimore house remix of a Gaines track, ‘BBBDance’ featuring Teki Latex from TTC. He also recently remixed the song ‘Baltimorrow’s Parties’ for Kid 606 which appeared in XLR8R magazine and will be released soon on Tiger Bass.
